Drop in Circulator

Drop in Circulator is connected with instruments and equipment by strip line. But unlike coaxial isolator, drop in isolator is generally welded directly to the circuit board.

The basic principle of the embedded circulator is to modulate and convert the signal of the transmitter or instrument through the ferrite device. The transmitting end transmits the signal to the straight antenna end, and then transmits the signal of the antenna end to the third end through the magnetic sensor device, so that the signal of the antenna end will not damage the transmitting end. Ensure the safety of the converted signal, the antenna end and the third end.

The unidirectional transmission principle of the circulator is due to the use of ferrite rotating magnetic material. Under the combined action of external high-frequency wave field and constant DC magnetic field, this material produces spin magnetic characteristics (also known as tensor permeability characteristics). It is this spin magnetic property that makes the polarized rotation of electromagnetic wave propagating in ferrite (Faraday Effect) and strong absorption of electromagnetic wave energy (ferromagnetic resonance). It is this spin magnetic phenomenon that is used to make isolator and circulator. It has the characteristics of small volume, wide frequency band and small insertion loss, so it is widely used.
